Education is the gateway to opportunity — and no child should be denied entry.

At ADD India, we believe that education is the foundation of inclusion. Yet, children with disabilities in rural India are often excluded from schools due to stigma, lack of accessibility, or absence of trained teachers.

Through our Inclusive Education program, we:

• Work with schools and communities to ensure children with disabilities are welcomed into mainstream classrooms.

• Train teachers to use inclusive teaching practices that support diverse learning needs.

• Support families to advocate for their children’s education and overcome barriers of stigma.

• Facilitate access to assistive devices, learning materials, and government schemes that make education possible.

• Strengthen DPOs and parent groups to monitor and sustain inclusive practices at the local level.

By creating inclusive classrooms, we are not just educating children with disabilities — we are shaping future communities built on equality, empathy, and shared opportunity.
